US President-elect Joe Biden’s dog, nicknamed Major, will assume the “position of the first dog of the United States” today
The event was initiated by the Delaware Humane Association. The procedure of assuming “the position of the first dog” was called “indoguration” (from the words “inauguration” and “dog”). All proceeds from the event will go to charity.
German shepherd dog Major will become the first shelter dog to enter the White House. Joe Biden, the newly elected US president, has another shepherd dog, Champion. The Democrat purchased her from a breeder.
It’s worth noting that Major will take office three days before his master, whose inauguration will take place on 20 January.
