According to its sources, the US leader, who is also a Republican, in particular inquired whether he had “done anything” for these lawmakers in the past. He asked who the said Republicans’ rivals might be in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.
“Sources have clarified that Trump has been contacting several of his Republican lawmaker supporters in the past few days. He has been asking their advice on which lawyers should represent him in the impeachment proceedings.
