Serious crimes and misconduct – it became known under what pretext they want to impeach Trump

The US House of Representatives will soon vote on impeachment of Donald Trump, although his presidential term will expire in a week.

This is the second attempt by Democrats to remove Trump from the presidency. This time, the initiative arose against the backdrop of protests in Washington. Trump supporters gathered in front of Congress last week to protest the recognition of the vote, in which violations were recorded. The action ended with the storming of the Capitol.

Although Trump condemned the protesters, Democrats still decided to remove him, moreover, “for serious crimes and misconduct”. This is exactly what the resolution of the House of Representatives says on this matter. The authors of the document argue that Trump “will be a threat to national security, democracy and the constitution if he is allowed to remain in office”.

“Based on this, there is every reason for the announcement of impeachment to Donald John Trump, trial, removal from office and deprivation of the right to hold and use any honorary position, trust or benefit under the auspices of the United States”, – the resolution says.

Recall that Trump’s presidential term officially expires in a week. Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20. Thus, impeachment becomes nothing more than a symbolic act.
