Sandu does not intend to nominate a candidate for prime minister in order to achieve the dissolution of parliament

Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that she would not nominate a candidate for the post of prime minister, as this would postpone the holding of early parliamentary elections.

“I will not nominate a candidate for prime minister to the current parliament, as he has compromised himself and must be dissolved. We have applied to the Constitutional Court with a request for possible legal ways to dissolve it and are awaiting its decision”, – Sandu said.
