Mexico agreed to purchase up to 24 million doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine

Earlier it was reported that the Russian drug “Sputnik V” will be registered in ten more countries.

According to RIA FAN, during a meeting of the Mexican government with Russian officials in Argentina, a preliminary agreement was reached on the acquisition of up to 24 million doses of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine under a patent.

“We think we could use up to 24 million doses of this vaccine for 12 million people, since the Sputnik V vaccination scheme provides for the use of two doses of this biological product”, – the deputy minister said.

In the second quarter of next year, it is planned to launch production of Sputnik V in Argentina. Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said that Argentina has a number of “very powerful pharmaceutical companies” that are capable of producing the vaccine.
