The weighted average daily electricity price in the day-ahead market (DAM) in the unified energy system (UES) of Ukraine as of January 11 increased by 17.19% or 231.66 UAH/MWh to 1,579.22 UAH/MWh compared to January 4. This is evidenced by data from the state-owned enterprise Market Operator.
Over the period, the weighted average price of electricity on the DAM within “Burshtyn Energosbyt” rose by 3.6%, or by UAH 56.63/MWh to UAH 1,646.02/MWh.
When compared with the prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the Ukrainian UPS (€45.24/MWh) exceeds that in Norway (€41.19/MWh) by 9%, in Sweden (€41.49/MWh) by 8.3% and in Denmark (€42.02/MWh) by 7.1%.
