Kim Jong-un ‘congratulated’ Biden with calls to expand DPRK’s nuclear arsenal

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has announced improvements to North Korea’s nuclear weapons and called the United States the republic’s “greatest enemy”

The country’s state media released Kim Jong-un’s statement on Saturday, January 9, days before Joe Biden’s inauguration.

“Our foreign policy activities should be focused and redirected towards conquering the US, our main enemy and the main obstacle to our innovative development”, –  the DPRK leader said at a party congress in Pyongyang.

He stressed that no matter who occupies the White House, “the true nature of the US and its fundamental policies towards North Korea never change.” In this regard, Kim Jong-un also pledged to expand ties with “anti-imperialist independent forces”.

North Korea also intends to expand its nuclear arsenal, providing preemptive and retaliatory strike capabilities. Kim Jong-un has called for the development of new missiles, including intercontinental and even supersonic ones. At the same time, he assured that he does not intend to misuse nuclear weapons.
