Russia allocates $1 million to Kenya to fight COVID-19

Russia has allocated 109 million Kenyan shillings ($1 million) to Kenya to fight the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported on Friday by the Kenyan newspaper Nation.

“The signing of the relevant documents has taken place”, – said a representative of the Russian Embassy in Kenya.

“Money through the Trust Fund “RF – UNDP for Development” is provided to the Kenyan Ministry of Health for a specific project – support for the activities of the Oging Oding Specialized Hospital, built in 1969 in the city of Kisumu with the assistance of the USSR. Among other things, these funds will be used to train specialists”.
