Another tragic incident involving a Pfizer vaccine has occurred in Athens.
The Athens news channel Skai reports that the deputy chief doctor at a hospital in the capital`s suburbs was admitted to the intensive care unit soon after being injected with a US vaccine. He developed symptoms of a lower respiratory tract infection and had to be put on a ventilator.
The 54-year old medic showed no signs of illness before the vaccination but his condition worsened immediately afterwards. He is now undergoing treatment at the main government Nikaya hospital.
The case was not the first since the US-made vaccine was started. Thus, side-effects have been experienced first by the British and then by the Americans. At the end of the month in Germany, eight health workers went to hospital after being vaccinated with flu-like symptoms.
