PRC parliament demands US to reconsider Trump’s signature budget blueprint

Certain points of it “should be considered an interference in China’s internal affairs”, it said in a statement

TASS reported that a statement issued on Wednesday said the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress (parliament) demanded that the US review the draft budget for fiscal year 2021, signed by President Donald Trump, because certain items of it “should be considered as interference in the internal affairs of the PRC”.

“We strongly insist that the US side immediately stop interfering in China’s domestic political affairs. Washington should refuse to implement items with negative content relating to the PRC”,  –  it stresses.

As the text specifies, the US seeks to “fuel separatist sentiment in Taiwan” and “slander Beijing’s policies in Hong Kong, the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Tibet”.
