There was an attempt to glorify Nazism in Belarus. This was stated today, December 30, by the president of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko
“The world is rapidly changing, it’s becoming less and less safe for a normal person’s life, and a number of states have even plunged into the abyss of civil wars and ethnic conflicts. You are not only aware of this, we have experienced it ourselves. There is a constant military build-up near our western and northern borders. Poland and the Baltic States have become training grounds for regular exercises and training of NATO troops. We are threatened not only by new economic sanctions, but a real information war has been unleashed against us, as well as political provocations”, – he said during a visit to the riot police department of Minsk city executive committee.
According to him, “time has passed, passions have at least slightly subsided and people have seen with their own eyes who wanted to take power.
“The leading role in the organization of the street riots is played by foreign puppeteers and their collaborationist henchmen, who were unable to show any political significance in any other way. We’ve already seen them in German newsreels, enthusiastically marching with BSB flags and portraits of the Führer”, – said the Belarusian leader.
At the same time Lukashenko stated that despite huge financial injections, direct foreign participation in the organization of the protest actions and training of the radical elements, the attempt to revive such actions nowadays has actually come to naught.
“It is impossible to glorify Nazism in a country that has lost one in three of its citizens”, – the Belarusian president stressed.
