Ankara and Washington to discuss C-400 issue

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry has announced the creation of a joint working group with the US on С-400

 


According to Turkish foreign ministry chief Mevlut Cavusoglu, Ankara and Washington are currently holding technical talks, Economy Today writes.

“Turkey and the United States have set up a joint working group to discuss the situation with Ankara’s purchase of Russian С-400 air defense systems”, –  the Turkish foreign minister said.

Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions on a number of Turkish officials and institutions responsible for the purchase of the air defence systems. The US State Department said that the Russian air defence systems endangered the US military.
