COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V has hit the European market as a new strain of coronavirus has entered the EU
As News Front reported earlier, panic because of the mutated virus made leaders of the European Union promptly approve a drug of American company Pfizer for mass vaccination.
The vaccine was approved despite numerous cases of side-effects experienced by people in Britain and the US. In parts of Germany, vaccination, which had barely begun, was disrupted due to incorrect storage conditions.
Against this background Hungary received 6,000 doses of vaccine from Russia. As the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó said, the preparation will be handed over to the National Centre for Public Health. There, experts will decide on the use of the Russian drug Sputnik V.
“Based on our preliminary agreement, cooperation between Russia and Hungary regarding a vaccine against coronavirus continues”, – Szijjártó said.
