Internet users discovered hooded jumpers with a large image of war criminal Adolf Hitler on the popular Vova shopping site
The Simon Wiesenthal Centre has already sent a letter to the shop’s management demanding that the existing stock of these clothes be destroyed and that they apologise to the Jewish community.
A sweatshirt with an image of Adolf Hitler has appeared on the Vova platform. The product description uses the term “funny graphics”. Users in Poland were the first to report the questionable garment. The product is available in various sizes at a price equivalent to around 100 zlotys (2,000 rubles).
The sweatshirts have already been responded to by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, which works to protect human rights and preserve the memory of the Holocaust. The centre’s director of international relations, Shimon Samuels, has sent a letter to the management of the Vova platform, calling for “the immediate destruction of all stockpiles of Hitler hoodies and the tracing and severing of contacts with the criminal company.”
“The Jewish community should apologise for not making the Hitler hoodie a symbol of hate by neo-Nazis and supporters of white supremacy”, – Samuels said in the appeal.
