Georgian Military Police prepare for NATO membership

The Military Police of the Georgian Ministry of Defence and NATO’s Multinational Military Police Battalion (MNMPBAT) have formalized an agreement that involves training the Georgian military for integration with the institution.

“The partnership aims to prepare a platoon of the Georgian Military Police for full membership (membership status) in the multinational military police battalion of NATO by the end of 2022. The agreement clearly shows that Georgia has a greater presence in NATO, it will strengthen military police capabilities and increase interoperability with NATO”, –  the Georgian Ministry of Defense said.

The document was signed on the Georgian side by Chief of Military Police Colonel George Bubunauri and on the NATO side by the heads of military police of the member countries of the Alliance’s Multinational Military Police Battalion: Poland, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The signing ceremony was held remotely.
