The well-known journalist and presenter called for a more consistent policy against the current Ukrainian authorities.
According to Rambler, speaking on Russian television, Vladimir Solovyov said that, in his opinion, Russia should impose tough sanctions against Ukraine for stopping the supply of water to Crimea.
“There should be a severe blockade, tough sanctions”, – the journalist believes, convinced that the money and goods freed up after the introduction of the blockade of Ukraine should be directed to the development of Donbass so that local residents live no worse than residents of Russian border territories.
Recall that in 2014, the Ukrainian authorities stopped the supply of water to Crimea through the North Crimean Canal. These supplies covered about 85% of the needs of the peninsula. At the beginning of September 2020, there was a shortage of water in Crimea and restrictions on water supply were introduced because of this.
