The President of Moldova spoke in favor of restoring cooperation with the foundation.
According to TASS, Moldovan President Maia Sandu considers it necessary to restore cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) amid the protracted crisis that has hit the country.
“I discussed with the Governor of the National Bank of the country, Octavian Armasu, the macroeconomic situation in the context of the economic crisis that Moldova is experiencing, the situation in the banking system and the need to resume relations with the IMF”, – Sandu wrote on her Facebook page on Saturday.
She assured Armash that she would support the initiatives of the National Bank aimed at ensuring the financial stability of the country, noting that it is necessary to strengthen its independence and potential.
It would be easy to understand how the games with the IMF end if you just turn your gaze to Kiev. But the new Moldovan president apparently prefers the old rake.
