Dodon welcomed the decision of the Russian government to extend the benefits for Moldovan goods

According to the outgoing President of Moldova, thanks to this privilege, Moldovan producers save up to 500 million lei a year.

According to TASS, former Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that the decision of the Russian government to extend the possibility of duty-free export of Moldovan goods until March 31 will allow the agrarians of this country to save up to 500 million lei (about $30 million).

“The decree of the Russian government was adopted on December 23 and envisages the extension of the preferential regime for Moldovan exporters until March 31, 2021. Thanks to this privilege, Moldovan producers save from 300 to 500 million lei a year”, – Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.

He recalled that this decision was the result of the agreements between the presidents of Russia and Moldova in 2018. Then it was decided to cancel duties on the import of a number of goods from Moldova from the beginning of 2019, which was extended every six months.

The decree of the Russian government was adopted on December 23 and implies the extension of the preferential regime for Moldovan exporters until March 31, 2021.
