The head of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, Rainer Seele, said that between January and September the total investment amounted to 1.3 billion euros.
“German companies are now implementing a number of major projects in Russia. For example, agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas is expanding its combine harvester production in Krasnodar. Knauf, a manufacturer of building and finishing materials, has opened a new production line near St. Petersburg. Retailer Globus has invested 50 million euros in a new logistics centre in order to expand its business in Russi,, – ” the authors of the Frankfurter Rundschau report.
According to the German newspaper, the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce has strengthened its position as the largest foreign trade association in Russia: according to its data, more than 4 thousand German companies are registered in Russia.
