Dodon says creation of instability in CIS is directed against Russia

Moldova’s incumbent President Igor Dodon said on Friday that destabilising the situation in the Commonwealth of Independent States and creating pockets of instability there is directed against Russia

A summit of Commonwealth heads of state, chaired by Uzbekistan, takes place online on Friday.

“In the outgoing year, the fears we have repeatedly voiced were confirmed – there is a clear strategy aimed at destabilizing the internal political situation in the CIS countries, at creating hotbeds of instability in its space, it is mainly aimed against our main strategic partner – the Russian Federation”, –  Dodon said.

According to him, it would be naive to believe that in 2021, “the pressure and subversion in the post-Soviet space will subside”.
