Biden does not see the allegations against his son Hunter as cause for concern

He said the allegations were “a pretty dirty game”.

US President-elect Joseph Biden believes the allegations against his son are politically motivated, the Democrat does not consider them a cause for concern. He said this in an interview with CBS television, an excerpt of which aired on Thursday.

“We have great confidence in our son. No allegations against him bothers me. This is being done to get to me. I think it’s a pretty dirty game”, –  Biden said.

Hunter Biden said on December 9 that federal prosecutors in the US state of Delaware were investigating his tax contributions. According to the Politico newspaper, the proceedings are not limited to tax matters. As the newspaper’s source noted, as early as last year, law enforcement agencies in Delaware and Washington investigated Hunter Biden’s foreign ties and his possible involvement in money laundering.

In October, Hunter Biden’s email correspondence was leaked to the media. It shows that he might have arranged for a representative of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma to meet his father when the latter was the US vice-president. The correspondence may also reveal financial ties between the Biden family and Chinese companies.
