According to Reuters, citing its own sources close to Biden’s team, sanctions will remain the central instrument of the US government.
“It will not be a kickback or a push”, – said the interlocutor of the journalists.
“It will be an adjustment in the use of the sanctions instrument”.
The Biden administration may lift Donald Trump’s sanctions against the International Criminal Court, which investigated American war crimes in Afghanistan. At the same time, Biden intends to continue the sanctions policy towards Russia.
