The Russian President sent a telegram to Joe Biden.
As reported by Channel 360, the Russian leader sent a congratulatory telegram to Biden, in which he wished the elected head of the White House every success in his top government post. Putin expressed confidence in the ability of Russia and the United States to cope with “many problems and challenges” together, despite the differences.
“For my part, I am ready for interaction and contacts with you”, – concluded Vladimir Putin.
Taking this into account, the President of the Russian Federation stressed, cooperation between Moscow and Washington would meet the interests of the peoples of both countries and the whole world. It should be based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
The Kremlin was in no hurry to send congratulations to Joe Biden on his victory in the presidential election. The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov explained that the elected head of state should be officially announced. Russian President Vladimir Putin himself noted that he was determined to “work with any person who will be given the confidence of the American people”.
