Dozens of cars take Syrian oil to Iraq
According to the Syrian state news agency SANA, US military forces loaded “stolen Syrian oil” into tanks and transported it from the countryside of Hasakeh province to Iraqi territory through the Al-Walid border crossing.
According to eadaily, local sources in the town of al-Suwaidiya in the said province told SANA that a convoy of dozens of gas tankers laden with “stolen Syrian oil” accompanied by 16 US army armoured vehicles was seen heading towards the al-Walid crossing.
“In this way, US forces have sent dozens of convoys carrying Syrian oil from the eastern parts of the Arab republic to Iraq in recent months”, – the report said.
The Syrian government has repeatedly accused US-led coalition forces of looting oil in the country, depriving it of a vital source of fuel, especially during the winter months.
