Deutsche Bank predicts 5.5% fall in Ukraine’s GDP in 2020

The fall in gross domestic product (GDP) in 2020 may be 5.5%. This is stated in the forecast of the German bank Deutsche Bank.

The bank’s analysts admit the allocation of the next tranche of the International Monetary Fund to Ukraine in early 2021, which will pave the way for obtaining financing from other international partners.

According to the forecast, the National Bank of Ukraine will keep the discount rate at 6% per annum.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine predicts that GDP in 2020 will fall by 5%. According to the department’s estimates, in January-October 2020, the drop was 5.2%.
