British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that residents of the country should prepare to leave the European Union without concluding a trade agreement.
“There is a high probability that our decision will be more like Australia’s relations with the EU than Canada’s relations with the EU”, – the prime minister said.
He noted that politicians continue to negotiate.
“But looking at where we are, I think it is imperative that everyone is now preparing for the Australian option”, – Johnson admitted.
Perhaps the UK should prepare for Brexit without concluding an agreement on future relations with the European Union.
Johnson noted that the EU plan “basically means that whatever new laws the bloc introduces, the UK will “have to follow them or face punishment”.
