Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that on the day of the parliamentary elections, an assassination attempt was planned by the Colombian authorities
He said this during a press conference in Caracas.
“A reliable source in the Colombian intelligence said that I was under preparation for an assassination attempt on election day. Ivan Duque took part in plans to prepare my assassination. […] He wanted to start a war against Venezuela, but he failed”, – the Venezuelan leader said.
Because of this information, Nicolas Maduro had to change his polling station to vote.
