Johnson described the conditions imposed by the EU as unacceptable

The conditions currently being put forward by the European Union are unacceptable, said British Prime Minister Boris Johnson speaking to Parliament

“Our friends in the EU now insist that if they adopt a new law in the future that we do not comply with, they will automatically have the right to punish us. They also insist that Britain is the only country in the world that does not have sovereign control over its own fishing waters. I don’t think that these are conditions that any Prime Minister of this country should accept”, – Johnson said.

In the evening, the Prime Minister will have a dinner in Brussels with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. This will be another attempt by the parties to come to an agreement on a trade agreement with the EU.
