“US authorities offended” – Sandu criticized parliament’s refusal to transfer the stadium to the embassy

President-elect of Moldova Maia Sandu believes that the parliament’s refusal to allocate the territory of the republican stadium will lead to complications in relations with Washington.

“The US authorities are offended, since the transfer of this territory was approved by several Moldovan governments, and there was a corresponding decision of the parliament. We challenged this decision of the parliament in the Constitutional Court”, – Sandu said.

The decision to transfer the territory of the stadium for the construction of the US Embassy caused outrage in the society and was blocked by the President of Moldova Igor Dodon.

Earlier it was reported that the US Embassy made a commentary and criticized the parliament’s refusal to transfer the territory of the stadium to the American authorities.
