According to Lieutenant Colonel Yegor Demidovich, head of the Medical Support Center of the Center for Peacekeeping Activities of the Russian Federation, the restoration of two hospitals in Karabakh will be completed in the next few weeks, RIA Novosti reports.
“The hospital in Martuni district will be rebuilt within two weeks, there were mainly glass fragments damaged. The renovation has just begun at the Martakert hospital. There the glass is broken a little more, the hospital building itself was not damaged. The supporting structures were not damaged; the problem there also lies in the glass. There, the affected area is slightly larger, respectively, we will need three weeks”, – said Demidovich.
He also noted that the Russian peacekeeping mission is actively cooperating with the International Committee of the Red Cross and plans to soon implement a joint project to equip emergency rooms.
Earlier it was reported that Russian military medics have examined more than 300 residents in eight settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh.
