The US President wished him a speedy recovery
The current US President, Donald Trump, reported on Sunday that his personal lawyer, 76-year-old Rudolf Giuliani, who is litigating over alleged irregularities in the last election, had contracted the coronavirus.
“Rudy Giuliani, who was the greatest mayor in the history of New York City to date and who is working tirelessly to identify irregularities in the most corrupt (as of now) elections in US history, has a Chinese virus [as Trump calls the new coronavirus]. Get better soon, Rudi, we will continue to work”, – the American leader wrote on his Twitter page.
The general elections in the USA took place on 3 November. Democrat Joseph Biden announced his victory. The Dept. of General Affairs of the U.S. Administration de facto recognized him as President-elect and notified him in writing of his willingness to provide his team with the budget needed to start accepting and handing over cases as part of the upcoming takeover of the next American leader.
Trump, however, does not accept defeat and expresses his intention to apply to the courts for a recount, as he believes there have been numerous electoral irregularities on the part of the Democrats. Giuliani is actively involved in litigation related to these irregularities.
