According to Johns Hopkins University, medics in the U.S. have registered 213,875 new cases in the last 24 hours, with 2,254 fatalities in the last day.
A record increase in coronavirus infections in the USA was reported on Saturday: 227,885 new cases of COVID-19 were reported per day.
