More than 20 supporters of the terrorist organization “Al-Qaeda” and the radical movement “Taliban” (banned in Russia) were killed in air strikes by the American Air Force in the Afghan province of Helmand, located in the south of the country. This was reported on Sunday by the Afghan TV channel 1TV.

According to its data, among the eliminated fighters – eight foreigners who fought on the side of “Al Qaeda”. In addition, the raid also killed the Taliban’s appointed “viceroy” in the western Afghan province of Farah Abdullah Baloch.

The American military confirmed that they raided and attacked extremist positions in Helmand’s Nad Ali county last night.

Since the peace agreement between Washington and the Taliban, the U.S. Air Force has repeatedly attacked Taliban groups in several Afghan provinces. Representatives of U.S. forces each time emphasize that U.S. planes strike in order to protect Afghan security forces, which does not contradict the agreements reached with the Taliban in the Qatari capital Doha. At the same time, Washington insists on the strict implementation of the agreements by the Taliban, which, among other things, provide for a complete break-up of the Taliban with the al-Qaeda network.
