The British authorities were given advice over claims against the Russian Federation on Navalny

The United Kingdom, which has accused Russia of using Novichok, needs to look back: it has been developing on British territories for years, and most likely, is currently conducting research on a new generation of toxic substances, the Russian mission to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said.

At the 25th session of the Conference of the OPCW Member States, the British delegation announced that “there is no other reasonable explanation other than Russia’s involvement and responsibility for the use of Novichok”.

“British diplomats should look at themselves: both in their country and in the laboratories of their NATO allies, they have been actively developing for many years, and, probably, research is being carried out on new generation of poisonous substances”, – says the commentary of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the OPCW in Twitter.

Prior to that, 56 out of 193 member states of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) signed a statement in which they supported the version according to which blogger Alexei Navalny suffered from a nerve agent from the Novichok group. The information was disseminated in connection with the beginning of the 25th Conference of the States Parties. Among the countries that signed the statement are EU member states, as well as the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Ukraine, Georgia, Peru and others.
