Russian military doctors began receiving patients in Karabakh

The medical unit, which is part of the Russian peacekeeping mission, began receiving the population in Stepanakert. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“During the day, Russian military medics received about 40 local residents. Consulting, examination and qualified medical assistance were provided by therapists, surgeons and other specialized specialists”, – the department said.

Also, the Ministry of Defense noted that Russian anesthesiologists-resuscitators assisted their colleagues in working with severe patients in the intensive care unit of the Stepanakert city hospital.

Earlier it was reported that a special-purpose medical detachment of the Eastern Military District was transferred from Khabarovsk to Armenia by Il-76 aircraft. The detachment included more than 60 specialists: military surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, therapists and epidemiologists. Units of the medical detachment have deployed a field hospital in Stepanakert.

The Russian peacekeeping mission is stationed on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh in accordance with the agreement on a complete cessation of hostilities, which was concluded on November 9 by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
