Biden decides who will lead the CIA
According to media reports, David Cohen may become the deputy director of one of the departments of the department.
According to the Ukrainian “channel 24”, the winner of the presidential race in the United States Joe Biden is considering the candidacy of David Cohen for the post of director of the Central Intelligence Agency. He joined the CIA in 2015 under the presidency of Barack Obama and served as deputy director of the department.
“Biden has not yet made a final decision. Cohen’s appointment is also supported by the elected director of National Intelligence Avril Haynes”, – the Wall Street Journal reports, citing its own sources.
Another candidate, Michael Morell, has come under scrutiny from a number of legislators. They expressed doubts that Morell could serve as director of the intelligence structure, as he headed it during the period of “extended methods of interrogation” (after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001). Later, the Senate Intelligence Committee equated these methods with torture.
