Stoltenberg said that NATO will continue to increase its presence in the Black Sea region

The Alliance’s Secretary General noted that the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Georgia will participate in a separate online session of the NATO Foreign Ministers’ meeting on 2 December

NATO will continue to build up its military presence in the Black Sea region in response to the strengthening of the Russian military group in the Crimea, an issue that will be discussed with the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Georgia on 2 December. This was announced on Monday by Secretary General of the alliance Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference ahead of a video conference of NATO foreign ministers on 1-2 December.

“We see that Russia is increasing its military presence in the Crimea, so we must increase our presence in the Black Sea region and discuss this issue with our partners – Ukraine and Georgia – what we will do with their ministers on Wednesday”, –  he said.

Stoltenberg noted that the foreign ministers of these countries will participate in a separate online session of the NATO Foreign Ministers’ meeting on 2 December.
