Housewife Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who considers herself the winner of the presidential race in Belarus, spoke about a strange dialogue with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel
The leader of the Belarusian pro-Western opposition in an interview with American Radio Liberty hastened to assure that European statesmen are well aware of the situation in Belarus. However, when Tikhanovskaya had the opportunity to talk to Merkel in person, the Chancellor of Germany began asking her about Ukraine.
“Angela Merkel, by the way, not that she remembered, but spoke about Ukraine and the Ukrainian language. She asked: “Do you understand Ukrainian? I said: “Of course I understand – it is very close to Belarusian, very similar to Russian. We understand each other very easily”. – “All right”. We had such a fleeting conversation,” remembered Tikhanovskaya.
As News Front reported, for several months now the pro-Western opposition of Belarus has been trying to implement a revolutionary scenario in the country. The Putchists have the support of Western countries. Poland and Lithuania are directly responsible for the coup.
The reason for this adventure is the presidential election. Alexander Lukashenko won the election, but both the European Union and the USA refused to recognise the results of the vote. They claim that the winner was Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, a housewife. Now she is desperately trying to overthrow Lukashenko. She urges Belarusians to strike while she herself is hiding in Lithuania.
