Media: Trump advisor to visit Saudi Arabia and Qatar to reconcile the two countries

As the Axios portal notes, the settlement would be one of the achievements of the current US administration before the change of the head of state

Senior adviser and son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, will soon travel to Saudi Arabia and Qatar to reconcile Doha with other Gulf capitals. This was announced on Sunday by the Axios information portal.

According to the American side, the settlement would return a sense of stability to the region and would become one of the achievements of the current American administration before the January 20 presidential change. The article notes that the United States maintains close ties with both Qatar and its opponents, but previous attempts by the administration to reconcile the parties were unsuccessful.

Kushner will meet with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The US delegation will also include Special Representative for International Talks Avi Berkowitz and former Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook, who will participate on a personal basis. The article draws attention to the fact that the trip will take place shortly after the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Kushner is interested in reaffirming the agreements reached earlier on permission for Israeli aircraft to use Saudi airspace.
