The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on Germany’s call to negotiate with Moscow “from a position of strength”

Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, said that Germany is fully dependent on the United States for safety

According to TASS, commenting on the call of German Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer to negotiate with Russia on disarmament “from a position of strength” on her Facebook page on Saturday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reminded that Germany is fully dependent on the United States on security issues.

“Germany is still in a good but definitely very interesting position as a ‘security dependent country'”, –  Zakharova said. – “And it’s not my conclusion, which is indicative. I quote Annegret herself, who admitted that Germany is completely untenable without the US in the military sphere.”

The diplomat recalled that one of the largest American foreign contingents is located in Germany.

“More recently, Germany expressed its dissatisfaction with the US plans to relocate some of its troops to other countries. Strongly, you cannot say anything”, –  she remarked sarcastically.

Zakharova also noticed that the US nuclear weapons are deployed in Germany.

“When you have power, but it is not yours, you cannot control it, and you are not allowed to use it, and you are afraid of losing it – this is a sign of dependence,” said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
