At least 26 people were killed and 16 injured in an explosion in the city of Ghazni, the administrative centre of Afghanistan’s province of the same name, located in the central part of the country. This was reported on Sunday by 1TV.

According to its source, all the victims and injured are Afghan army personnel. According to preliminary information, a car packed with explosives exploded near the base of the Afghan Armed Forces. According to the Xinhua News Agency, the explosion was preceded by gunfire.

None of the extremist groups operating in this region of Afghanistan has yet claimed responsibility for what happened.
