The Scottish authorities are planning a repeat independence referendum in 2021.
This statement was made by Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s first minister and leader of the Scottish National Party.
“Scotland should be able to choose whether to become independent in the first or second half of the term of the newly elected Scottish Parliament”, – she said.
Sturgeon noted that the date of the plebiscite is currently unknown. However, it will not take place until May. Then in Scotland scheduled parliamentary elections, and the nationalists are expected to win. This will allow them to hold a referendum.
