With the assistance of the Russian peacekeeping mission in the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, 95% of the electricity and gas supply has been restored. The Russian Defense Ministry announced this on Friday.
“To date, the city’s electricity and gas supply has been restored by 95-97%. The work of the city electrical substation was restored. Servicemen of the International Mine Action Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense examined the places of repair and restoration work for the presence of explosives, including the buildings of two schools, in which the educational process will resume in the near future”, – the Defense Ministry said.
As it was reported earlier, public transport movement was restored in Stepanakert. As stated in the defense department, “the engineering and technical units of the Russian contingent of peacekeeping forces continue to assist the local administration in clearing public roads and restoring social infrastructure”.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a trilateral agreement on the complete cessation of hostilities in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian peacekeepers were deployed in the region. The basis of the peacekeeping continent was formed by the units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade (peacekeeping) of the Central Military District.
