The Prime Minister of Belarus announced the new impetus for the development of the Union State with Russia

He also expressed doubt that this year’s meeting of the Union Council of Ministers would be possible due to the epidemic situation

 


The Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, said that there was good momentum in the development of the Union State with Russia.

“We have a large list of issues to discuss. These are our cooperation within the Union State, the development of trade and economic cooperation. A great deal of authority is concentrated in your hands, and I am very glad that recently a new impetus has actually appeared in the development of the Union State”, –  said the Belarusian Prime Minister on Thursday when meeting with State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota. His words, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian Prime Minister expressed doubt that this year’s meeting of the Union Council of Ministers will be held due to the epidemic situation.

“But it is necessary to determine when the next meeting will be really held”, –  said Golovchenko. –  “We are pleased that the high-level group is actively working and a very wide range of issues were recently discussed at the meeting. As far as I know, the group is going to meet again this year, so I would like to hear your assessment of the work”, –  the prime minister added.

He also suggested that Rapote consider the Union State’s budget for next year and its implementation this year.

Rapota informed about the planned meeting of the High-Level Group of the Union State Council of Ministers by the end of this year. “Indeed, the High Level Group has been meeting recently and there will be another one in December. And, of course, we will decide everything that can be resolved there,” said the Union State Secretary.
