Lavrov announced the unfriendly behaviour of several EU countries

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov has declared that habit of the European Union to communicate from a position of force limits possibilities of restoration of mutually respectful, equal dialogue, informs RIA Novosti.

“For our part, we are already thinking not about how to conduct business – as usual or not as usual, but in general we want to understand whether it is worthwhile to deal at all with the Brussels structures, while they are working in their current form,” – said Lavrov in the course of his speech at a meeting of the panels of foreign ministries of Russia and Belarus.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that relations with the EU are currently developing in a difficult way.

“The reason is in the non-partner and often unfriendly behaviour of a number of EU countries, which are approved by the entire European Union”, –  explained Lavrov.

According to the minister, many EU countries are unable to give up the “arrogant habit of talking to others from the point of view of strength”, and this habit “limits the possibility of restoring a mutually respectful, equal dialogue.
