Peacekeepers from the Russian Federation, under the leadership and control of the Interdepartmental Center for Humanitarian Response, ensured safe public transport movement in Stepanakert
This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
“In the city the work of public transport was restored and road traffic, electricity and water supply was established. Peaceful residents continue to return to their homes”, – the Defense ministry said.
The Russian peacekeepers also ensure safe passage of civilians across the line of contact to their homes.
Russian peacekeepers are in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone under a trilateral agreement on the cessation of hostilities, which was signed by the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and the prime minister of Armenia on November 9.
