Earlier Reuters reported that Washington is ready to announce that 89 Chinese and 28 Russian companies, including those working in the aerospace industry, are connected with the aircraft of their countries
The U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security did not comment on Tuesday on the development of lists of 117 companies from Russia and China, which Washington, D.C. says may be linked to the U.S. military in these countries. Publication of such lists may result in US authorities imposing restrictions on the acquisition by their member firms of a number of US goods and technologies.
“We cannot comment on the issues under discussion”, – said a representative of the Bureau in response to a request from a TASS correspondent to confirm information on the creation of such lists, as well as their subsequent publication.
The White House National Security Council and the State Department have not yet commented on this information to TASS.
Earlier Reuters reported with reference to its sources that the Washington administration is ready to announce about connections of 89 Chinese and 28 Russian companies, including those working in the aerospace industry, with the aircraft of their countries. The list of Russian organizations includes Irkut Research and Production Corporation, which is a developer of Russian short- and medium-haul narrow-body passenger aircraft MS-21. The agency sources assume that the lists may be extended later.
The Chinese authorities condemn this intention of the American authorities, the Chinese embassy in the USA reported on Twitter. Companies from China, the diplomatic mission said, “strictly comply with the laws and regulations of their host countries, including the United States”. The embassy stressed that the U.S. government “abuses power to exert pressure on Chinese companies, which seriously violates market competition principles and international trade rules, and seriously undermines business and investment cooperation between the two countries.
