The Senior Director for Europe and Russia on the US National Security Council congratulated President-elect Maya Sandu on his victory in the elections
According to mejdurecie.md, the press release of the US Embassy in Chisinau was sent to the NM post office. The press release states that the US official congratulated Sandu on the victory and confirmed the close friendship and partnership between the USA and Moldova.
The sides also discussed the global epidemiological situation, achievements in the development of vaccines and the possibility of economic recovery.
“They also discussed the importance of combating corruption and foreign interference and agreed to continue close cooperation on these and other important national security issues”, – the embassy’s press release stresses.
