The Washington Post: Zelenskiy needs Biden’s support like never before

After Joe Biden officially becomes the president-elect of the United States, he can help Ukraine resume the investigation into the Kolomoisky case, according to The Washington Post.

“Biden’s Department of Justice could also help renew efforts to investigate corruption cases against key Ukrainian businessmen, including Firtash and Kolomoisky”, – the publication said.

According to the editors of the American newspaper, Biden persistently pushed the previous government of Ukraine to fight corruption.

“President Volodymyr Zelenskyy needs Biden’s support like never before. The former comedian, elected as the head of state, during the election campaign promised to fight corruption in Ukraine”, – the Washington Post noted.

Nevertheless, the IMF and the European Union threaten to deprive Ukraine of the necessary financial assistance due to “anti-corruption regression”.
