Minsk criticized the US withdrawal from the Open Skies Treaty

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry said that the withdrawal of the States from the Open Skies Treaty could lead to military-political tension. This was reported on the official website of the department.

“On November 22, 2020, the US decision to withdraw from the Open Skies Treaty entered into force. Washington’s withdrawal from the OON undermines the viability of the treaty and will lead to a further increase in mistrust and military-political tension. Serious damage is inflicted on the Euro-Atlantic security architecture and arms control instruments”, – the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.
